Studio Hülya aims to be a social impact entity and is keen to associate itself with interventions aimed at women's empowerment.
Among the various social issues embedded in our society, that place individuals at positions of disadvantage, Studio Hülya believes that the issue of female inequality is the most pressing. Women struggle through this discrimination all their lives and are certainly more at risk in every situation of human vulnerability.

We are proud to share that Studio Hülya has entered into a collaboration with UN Women’s Second Chance Education (SCE) Programme with an aim to share our profits and stand true to our commitment to giving back. UN Women’s SCE Programme, works towards creating pathways of learning, employment, and entrepreneurship for women in India. Studio Hülya recognizes that rural women make significant contributions to their local economies and household incomes as farmers, entrepreneurs, and laborers. We support the SCE Programme; because we believe that when rural women and girls are empowered, the whole community benefits.
Covered under the UN Women’s SCE programme, Dengasargi is a small village in the Kolnara Block of Rayagada district of Odisha. There are more than 2000 farmers doing vegetable and marigold cultivation for a living. These farmers make use of chemical fertilizers, which are easily available in the markets. The UN Women’s SCE programme saw this as an opportunity to start the production of different types of packaged organic fertilizers, in order to promote organic farming in the area. This is being done by training a group of women to start the production of organic fertilizers and gradually scale it up. This will not only economically empower the women who are involved in production but also have a positive impact on the environment and ecosystem.
Studio Hülya has provided financial support to initiate the organic fertilizer enterprise for tribal women. Funds from Studio Hülya have been used to procure fixed assets and are being used as working capital for the business. A Self-Help Group has been created with local tribal women to run this enterprise. The contribution by Studio Hülya is a boost for the women's group to start the business. It helps build the capacity of these women and economically empowers them. The support by Studio Hülya also helps propagate organic farming practices and establishes the importance of safe food for all.
We are thrilled to share that the organic fertilizer enterprise we supported is fully functional and the tribal women have started getting orders for organic fertilizer from farmers in the vicinity. This is our first social intervention and we strive to do many more. Any piece of jewellery you buy from us helps empower women and impacts society positively.
